How to Make Customers buy your Products or Services

Customers are the most important part of any business. If customers buy your products or services, sales and profits will increase. But, attracting new clients and retaining existing customers is a huge challenge for many businesses.

There are several ways to make your customers buy your products or services. Let’s explore some of the ways: Make them feel special. Smile and warmly welcome your customer. Exchange pleasantries, don’t go for a hard sell first. Don’t say “Murikudeyi” to the customer, without even greeting them. Your attitude and tone of your voice must be friendly and not hostile. Have you ever walked into a shop and felt as if you were an extraterrestrial android from another planet? On several occasions l have walked out of premises where l felt unwelcomed. Recently I walked into a shop in town with the intention of buying a brand new laptop, but guess what happened when I walked in? The shop assistant was busy taking selfies with her phone. She didn’t even acknowledge that l was standing there waiting to be served. I walked out and took my money elsewhere. Customers love to feel important and appreciated. Show them respect and thank them for taking their time and effort to come to your shop or call you . Remember to be always professional when answering calls. Don’t pick up and say.. “Wadii, Zviriseisei, Ndiyani wangu uyu?”, unless if you personally know the person calling you on the phone.

Most businesses fail to deliver what they promised. A few years ago l took my laptop to a certain guy to get it fixed and that was the last time I saw it. The tech guy kept telling me tall stories until l gave up. When dealing with your clients be honest about the time-frames and make sure you keep them updated on their order. Constantly keep in touch and reassure them about delivery time frames, but don’t over promise. Make realistic promises, and then exceed their expectations!
